10. Deceptive Little Thing...

Robert has been sounding out words and reading since he was about 3 years old. I know he can read, his teachers know he can read, and so do the ABA therapists.

ACI decided to test Robert to see how many sight words he can read.

Instead of reading, Robert has decided that if he cannot recognize the word, it is too much work to sound it out. So he's asking the therapists "What's that?" instead of sounding it out.

I CANNOT believe him! He sounds out words at home when I ask him to.

I am not sure, but I think the therapists are falling for his act.

Then again... this is Robert... so I shouldn't be surprised. After all, he's a product of his mother and father. I blame it on genetics.
